My Main Mode of Transportation

This is largely how I get around South Florida, at least when I'm traveling solo. Yes, the drivers can be crazy and clueless here but I hail from the DC area so I'm used to the worst drivers in the nation.

Florida is meant for two wheels. It's freeing to ride around in the sun with palm trees, beautiful skies, and roads that are actually in good condition.

Obviously, all of my equipment is vegan-friendly. I'll write a separate post in the future on vegan motorcycle and scooter apparel.

Vegan Desserts at Coral Springs Whole Foods

The Whole Foods in Coral Springs has some freshly made vegan desserts. They seem to rotate between carrot cake (cake slices and cupcakes) and chocolate (cake slices and cupcakes).

Vegan Pizza in Coconut Creek

My wife and I moved into our new home in Coral Springs last week.  Her dad had come along on the four-hour trip from Tampa Bay.  After a long day of unpacking we let him choose the type of food he wanted for dinner.  He was in the mood for pizza so I jumped online to find the closest place to our new home with vegan pizza.

We tried Fresh Brothers and it didn't disappoint.  Fresh Brothers is a California-based company.  This is their one location in Florida.  It wasn't the best pizza I'd ever had but it was good.  They offer daiya cheese but, sadly, no faux meats.  Their crusts (thin and deep dish) are vegan.  An XL pizza was more than enough for the three of us.

I was also happy to learn that they deliver.  We may have to utilize that service in the future.

Preparing to Move to South Florida

I'm getting ready to move to South Florida.  I've been living in St. Petersburg for the past year.  I'm looking forward to moving to a place that's more liberal and vegan-friendly.

I'll begin sharing my vegan findings in South Florida once I'm over there.  In the meantime, I'm finding VegSouthFlorida.com to be very helpful.
